MUSC Well-being Collective Launches

Dear MUSC family,

We hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. We want to take a moment to express the deep and renewed commitment by MUSC to support the well-being of each and every one of you.

More than a year ago, President’s Council charged an enterprise-wide committee with developing a comprehensive employee well-being program that would support the needs of employees in diverse roles across both the health system and University. As a result, we are pleased to launch the robust MUSC Well-being Collective intranet site. This digital hub will connect you to a broad spectrum of support programs and resources across six different dimensions. It is a living site and will be optimized over time based on your feedback and evolving needs.

Once on the site, you will find well-being support that includes crisis resources, stress first aid, mental health, financial health, caring for others and more.

Collaboration and innovation are fundamental to our success as an academic health system. By supporting your well-being, we create an environment where teamwork flourishes, allowing for seamless collaboration among different departments and disciplines. By investing in well-being, we aim to create an environment that fosters sustainable performance while valuing your work-life balance and reducing burnout.

Your multi-dimensional well-being is not only vital to you, personally, but it also plays a crucial role in the success of our mission “to preserve and optimize human life in South Carolina and beyond.” We recognize that our mission must first begin in the lives of our employees.

You will be hearing much more about the offerings of the MUSC Well-being Collective, and as we move forward, we encourage you to engage actively, share your feedback through an upcoming survey and support one another. Together, we can create a work environment that is not only fulfilling but also allows us to continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

You are the heartbeat of our institution, driving our mission to provide exceptional health care, education and research. Thank you for your unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions to MUSC. We are here to support you every step of the way.

Warm regards,

MUSC President’s Council
