Our Mission

Vision

Our goal is to support the expansion of global health across the University, provide direction and support to faculty and students to conduct innovative, high impact global health research, education and training programs, and serve as an essential resource for international faculty, students, and scholars coming to MUSC, and for faculty and students undertaking projects abroad.

The center does this through:

• Innovative global health research programs including a pilot grant program
• Global health education and training programs for students including travel grants
• Global health partnerships
• Information sharing through symposia, speakers’ series, workshops, and seminars
• Strong administrative infrastructure and policy development to support the MUSC international community  

The center is dedicated to providing high-quality assistance and services to international faculty, students, and scholars at MUSC with immigration and employment issues to minimize the difficulties they may experience both upon arrival and later during their stay at MUSC. Our team offers guidance with issues related to social and personal adjustments to a new culture and hosts a wide range of programs and events for the international community at MUSC, such as luncheons, cultural outings, English classes, workshops, new student orientations, and the annual International Bazaar.
